This page explains what Urdu Novels Collection (urdunovelscollection.com) keeps when you use the site, why we keep it, and how you can have it removed. We keep as little as possible.
Reading the site
You don't need an account. You can read and download novels without giving us any personal details. We count visits only as totals, for example how often a novel is opened, which download links are clicked, what people search for, which website or country visits come from, and whether a phone or a laptop is used. These counts are not linked to you, and we don't keep your IP address for them.
When you write to us
When you post a comment, request a novel, send your novel or report a problem, we keep:
- your name and what you wrote;
- the contact details you choose to give (email, WhatsApp number, and for writers a social page link);
- basic technical details: IP address, country, device and browser type, the website you came from, and a random code saved in your browser.
We use these to reply to you, to stop spam and abuse, and to recognise messages from the same person. Only your name and comment are shown on the site. Your email, phone number and IP address are never shown to anyone.
Saved in your browser
Our own pages don't set tracking cookies, but the analytics and advertising services below do. Cloudflare may set a small security cookie to protect the site from attacks and spam. To make the site easier to use, your browser keeps a few things on your device: your light or dark choice, the name and email you typed for comments (so you don't have to type them again), a random code (see above), your own comments that are still waiting for approval, and which promotions you closed. You can delete them at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Services we use
- Cloudflare delivers the site quickly, protects it from attacks and checks forms for spam.
- Google Fonts provides the fonts.
- Google Analytics counts visits to show how the site is used; it uses cookies (Google’s privacy policy).
- Ad networks, including Google, show the ads (see Advertising).
- WhatsApp: when you tap a WhatsApp button, you leave our site.
- Download hosts (such as Google Drive or MediaFire) and other linked websites have their own privacy policies.
Advertising
This site shows ads to stay free. Third-party companies, including Google, use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google Ads Settings. Some ads may open in a new tab. These companies have their own privacy policies; we don't give them your name, email or messages.
How long we keep it
- IP addresses are deleted automatically after 12 months.
- Spam and deleted comments are removed after 30 days.
- Comments and messages are kept while they are useful.
- Visit counts are kept only as totals.
Sharing
We never sell or share your information. We would only share it if the law requires us to.
Your choices
Contact details are optional, except that writers who send a novel give a WhatsApp number or an email so we can reach them. To see, correct or delete what we keep about you (your comments, requests and contact details), email us at [email protected] and we will delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Security
We protect the information we keep, but no website can promise to be 100% secure.
Children
If you are under 13, please don't send us personal details. If a parent finds that a child has, contact us and we will delete them.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update this page and its "Last updated" date.
